Join the proper queue Use station and airport taxi ranks and follow staff instructions. Do not accept unsolicited rides from someone approaching you in an arrivals hall.
Let the driver operate the door Many taxi rear doors are driver-operated. Wait rather than pulling or slamming them. Wear a seat belt and confirm passenger capacity and luggage space.
Confirm the fare and payment Metered fares may include pickup fees, late-night surcharges, and tolls. Airport fixed fares have conditions and may exclude tolls. Check card, IC, or cash acceptance before departing; tipping is not customary.
Keep the receipt The receipt or app booking can help identify the operator if you leave something behind. Confirm the exact terminal or entrance before getting out.
Set up the app before you need it Install GO or Uber and check phone verification, payment-card acceptance, and the destination area before departure. GO provides English guidance and accepts supported international cards; registration and payment still need to succeed.
Check the product being offered A booking may be a licensed taxi or, where available, an authorized Japanese ride-share service. Private-car ride-sharing is regulated and limited by operator, place, and time; do not assume on-demand availability everywhere.
Check the pickup pin and charges Use the designated airport or station pickup point. Confirm dispatch, booking, cancellation, waiting, and toll charges before requesting. An estimate is not always a fixed final fare.
Match the assigned vehicle Check the plate, vehicle, and booking details in the app before boarding. Use the booked payment method and ask the operator if someone requests an unexpected off-app payment.

General information only. Confirm current routes, timetables, fares, accessibility, accepted payment methods, and card terms with the operator before traveling.
